Advanced Search Screen

This screen lets you search the Caltech personnel directory by specific fields. Here are some sample uses:

A faculty member has called you and left his extension (x6906) but now you have to pass on a message and you've forgotten his name. Just do a search with "6906" in the extension field to find out who called.

Someone tells you you're supposed to call "John in Astro" but you don't have a last name or an extension. You might recognize the last name if you saw it though. Search with "John" in the first name field and "Astro" in the department field to get a list of possible people.

Searching for the beginning of a word (either here or in the normal search) is a good way to widen your search if you don't know an exact spelling. For example, searching for "Bel" would find "Belson", "Bellson", and "Belison".
